CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. '92-83 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RETAINING EXISTING PROVISIONS IN <br />THE MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING THE KEEPING OF <br />PIGS AND DIRECTING STAFF NOT TO INITIATE <br />AMENDMENTS TO THE PT~ASANTONMUNICIPALCODE TO <br />ALTOW PIGS IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of April 21, 1992, the City Council <br />reviewed the report of the Director of Planning and <br />Community Development regarding a possible Municipal Code <br />amendment which would allow pigs in residential <br />districts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it is the determination of Council that the existing <br />Municipal Code provisions should be retaihed, which <br />provisions do not allow pigs or other farm animals to be <br />kept in residential districts <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTONRESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br /> The City Council confirms that it wishes to retain the <br />existing provisions in the Municipal Code concerning the <br />keeping of pigs which provisions preclude the keeping of <br />pigs in residential zoning districts. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> Staff is directed not to initiate a study concerning <br />possible amendments to the Municipal Code concerning this <br />matter. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON APRIL 21, 1992 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Mohr, Scribner, Tarver, and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br />APPROVED AS <br /> <br />Michael H.
