The members of the Organization Committee of the <br />Pleasanton Downtown Association are the proposed Advisory Board for 2007. <br /> <br />The appointment is the first step in a three-step process. At a subsequent meeting, the advisory <br />board will submit the annual report for Council's approval. A resolution of intention will also be <br />submitted which will set a time for the public hearing on the levy of the proposed assessment for <br />2007. At the conclusion of the hearing, Council may adopt a resolution confirming or <br />modifying the report. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />The City contract with the PDA requires the City to match the annual assessments paid by <br />businesses in the district. In 2006, the City match from the General Fund was approximately <br />$61,000. Staff anticipates the 2007 match will be between $60,000 and $65,000. In addition to <br />the direct City contribution, the City adds approximately $50,000 in indirect funding which <br />includes staff time to administer the PDA assessments and contract, assistance with the <br />Hometown Holiday Celebration, as well as the cost to maintain downtown planters, cleaning <br />sidewalks, garbage pickup, and staff time for special events. <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />(~" \~ ~ <br />~'-<- <br />David P.
