CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-72 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO CONSIDER AN AMENDMENT <br />TO THE GENERAL PLAN TO CHANGE THE LAND USE <br />DESIGNATION ON AN 18.6 ACRE SITE FROM GENERAL <br />AND LIMITED INDUSTRIAL TO MEDIUM DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of April 7, 1992, the City Council <br />received an application from Marsh/Smith Associates for <br />a General Plan Amendment to change the Land Use <br />Designation from General and Limited Industrial to Medium <br />Density Residential for an 18.6 acre site located at the <br />southeast corner of the intersection of Sunol Boulevard <br />and Interstate Highway 680; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council reviewed the report (SR 92:155) from the <br />Director of Planning and Community Development; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held before the City <br />Council on April 7, 1992, at which time all pertinent <br />testimony and documents were reviewed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />subsequent to the Planning Commission denial and the <br />hearing before the City Council, the applicant prepared <br />a new development plan for the proposed site; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after a review of the material presented, the City <br />Council finds that plan has significant changes that must <br />be reviewed by the Planning Commission before a decision <br />can be made by Council regarding the plan or the General <br />Plan Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />city Council denied without prejudice the proposed <br />General Plan amendment and development plan subject to <br />the matter being reviewed further by the Planning <br />Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />notwithstanding said denial, City Council believes that <br />Medium Density Residential is an appropriate General Plan <br />Land Use designation for this property; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: It is the intent of the City Council to consider in <br /> June 1992, a General Plan amendment to change the Land <br /> Use Designation, with respect to an 18.6 acre site <br /> located at the southeast corner of the intersection of <br /> Sunol Boulevard and Interstate Highway 680, from General <br /> and Limited Industrial to Medium Density Residential. <br /> <br /> <br />
