· Investigate the feasibility of a traffic barrier on Cameron Avenue at the westerly project
boundary;
· Discuss the feasibility of under grounding the overhead lines on Trenery Drive and Martin
A venue; and,
. Return the proposal to a public hearing.

June 28th Planning Commission Public Hearing

Discussion

The Planning Commission staff report and minutes of the public hearing are attached. A revised
project, with Cameron Avenue designed with a curvilinear alignment and a separated sidewalk
along most of its north side, was presented to the Planning Commission. Ms. Pam Hardy, Pon-
derosa Homes, was present to speak in favor of the project and to answer questions. Homeown-
ers speaking on the proposal included Carol Lehman, Denny Leuthauser, Edward Reedy, Greg-
ory Ketell, Janice Cain, Kelly Cousins, Matt Lawer, and Will Selway.

Carol Lehman and Will Selway spoke in favor of the proposal. Edward Reedy stated that he
supported the proposed plan and that having the sidewalk on Cameron Avenue was very impor-
tant. Neighborhood concerns and comments in opposition to the proposal focused on:

. The proposed density did not fit in well with the existing neighborhood and should be re-
duced;
· Redesign the homes to be more consistent with the design character of the surrounding
neighborhood;
. The curvilinear alignment of Cameron A venue would not mitigate traffic speeds and
noise; and,
. Parking on Cameron A venue with the new alignment.

The Planning Commission's discussion focused on the biological analysis of the Initial
Study/Negative Declaration specifically the timing and duration of the site visit conducted by
the applicant's consultant; eminent domain to construct the sidewalk along the Leut-
hauser/Ketell properties; landscape maintenance; noise disclosures for the Livermore Airport
operations and potential expansion; and tree removal.
