Resolution No. 92-53 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Section 5014.5 of the Elections Code sets forth the <br />procedures for rebuttal arguments. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Resolution No. 92-51 is hereby rescinded. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br /> That the City Council sponsored initiative proposing <br />that the General Plan of the city of Pleasanton be <br />amended regarding the Pleasanton Ridgelands be placed on <br />the ballot for the June 2, 1992 Primary Election, a copy <br />of which Initiative Ordinance is attached to this <br />resolution. The measure shall be designated by letter by <br />the County of Alameda. <br /> <br />Section 3: The ballot language shall be as follows: <br /> <br />"Shall the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton be <br />amended by adopting the Pleasanton Ridgelands Plan." <br /> <br />Section 4: <br /> <br />Section 5: <br /> <br />Section 6: <br /> <br />Section 7: <br /> <br />YES <br /> <br />NO <br /> <br /> The City Clerk is directed to transmit a copy of the <br />initiative to the City Attorney to prepare an impartial <br />analysis to be placed on the ballot. <br /> <br /> The City Council requests arguments for and against the <br />initiative to be filed by the Pleasanton Ridgelands <br />Executive Committee. Said arguments must be submitted to <br />the City Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on March 9, 1992. <br /> <br /> The city Council hereby adopts the procedures set <br />forth in Sections 5014.5 of the Elections Code regarding <br />submission of rebuttal arguments. <br /> <br /> The City Council hereby requests the Alameda County <br />Board of Supervisors to order this election be conducted <br />by Alameda County on June 2, 1992, in conjunction with <br />the Primary Election being held within the County on that <br />date, with the actual costs for said election to be <br />reimbursed by the city to the County. <br /> <br /> <br />
