Resolution No. 92-53 Page Two WHEREAS, Section 5014.5 of the Elections Code sets forth the procedures for rebuttal arguments. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Resolution No. 92-51 is hereby rescinded. Section 2: That the City Council sponsored initiative proposing that the General Plan of the city of Pleasanton be amended regarding the Pleasanton Ridgelands be placed on the ballot for the June 2, 1992 Primary Election, a copy of which Initiative Ordinance is attached to this resolution. The measure shall be designated by letter by the County of Alameda. Section 3: The ballot language shall be as follows: "Shall the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton be amended by adopting the Pleasanton Ridgelands Plan." Section 4: Section 5: Section 6: Section 7: YES NO The City Clerk is directed to transmit a copy of the initiative to the City Attorney to prepare an impartial analysis to be placed on the ballot. The City Council requests arguments for and against the initiative to be filed by the Pleasanton Ridgelands Executive Committee. Said arguments must be submitted to the City Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on March 9, 1992. The city Council hereby adopts the procedures set forth in Sections 5014.5 of the Elections Code regarding submission of rebuttal arguments. The City Council hereby requests the Alameda County Board of Supervisors to order this election be conducted by Alameda County on June 2, 1992, in conjunction with the Primary Election being held within the County on that date, with the actual costs for said election to be reimbursed by the city to the County.
