CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-43 <br />A RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY <br />FORMATION COMMISSION TO TARE PROCEEDINGS FOR <br />THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION 140 (RUBY <br />HILL/VINEYARD AVENUE CORRIDOR) PURSUANT TO THE <br />CORTESE-RNOX LOCAL GOVERNMENT REORGANIZATION <br />ACT OF 1985 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to initiate proceedings <br />pursuant to the Cortese-Knox Local Government <br />Reoganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing with <br />Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the <br />annexation of approximately 1,538 acres, Annexation No. <br />140, Ruby Hill/Vineyard Avenue Corridor, and requests <br />initiation of proceedings thereon; and <br />WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed is inhabited, and a <br />description of the boundaries of the territory is set <br />forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this <br />reference incorporated herein; and <br />WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the Sphere of Influence <br />of the proposed expansion of the affected City as <br />requested by the affected City pursuant to Resolution No. <br />92-42 attached hereto as Exhibit "B"; and <br />WHEREAS, the reason for this proposed annexation is as follows: <br />This is a logical extension of the City limits and the <br />City of Pleasanton should have control over the <br />development of this property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: The Local Agency Formation Commission of Alameda County <br />is hereby requested to take proceedings for the <br />annexation of territory as described in ExYiibit "A", <br />according to the terms and conditions stated above and in <br />the matter provided by the Cortese-Knox Local Government <br />Reorganization Act of 1985. <br />Section 2: Said annexation is conditioned upon the designation of <br />the County of Alameda as the lead agency pursuant to the <br />Surface Mining and Reclamation Act of 1975. <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />
