CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 92-43 A RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF PLEASANTON REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO TARE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION 140 (RUBY HILL/VINEYARD AVENUE CORRIDOR) PURSUANT TO THE CORTESE-RNOX LOCAL GOVERNMENT REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1985 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reoganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing with Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the annexation of approximately 1,538 acres, Annexation No. 140, Ruby Hill/Vineyard Avenue Corridor, and requests initiation of proceedings thereon; and WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed is inhabited, and a description of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the Sphere of Influence of the proposed expansion of the affected City as requested by the affected City pursuant to Resolution No. 92-42 attached hereto as Exhibit "B"; and WHEREAS, the reason for this proposed annexation is as follows: This is a logical extension of the City limits and the City of Pleasanton should have control over the development of this property. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The Local Agency Formation Commission of Alameda County is hereby requested to take proceedings for the annexation of territory as described in ExYiibit "A", according to the terms and conditions stated above and in the matter provided by the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985. Section 2: Said annexation is conditioned upon the designation of the County of Alameda as the lead agency pursuant to the Surface Mining and Reclamation Act of 1975. Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
