Resolution No. 91-91 <br />Page Two <br />D. At a City Council meeting, the Mayor shall make an <br />appointment to the commission or board. The City <br />Council shall then vote to approve or disapprove <br />such appointment. If such appointment receives <br />three affirmative votes, the appointment shall be <br />approved and the person so appointed shall assume <br />the office. If the Mayor's appointment is <br />disapproved, the Mayor shall continue to make <br />appointments until an appointment receives at least <br />three affirmative votes. <br />E. If no candidate receives three affirmative votes, <br />the matter shall be re-advertised for a period of <br />15 days and the procedure herein shall be repeated. <br />Any person appointed but not approved by the <br />Council shall not be eligible further for that <br />particular term of office or vacancy. <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON JUNE 4, 1991 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mohr, Scribner, Tarver, and <br />Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: ~ <br />Michael H.
