<br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-71 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1991 WEED ABATEMENT <br />PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PROCEED WITH <br />ABATEMENT OF WEEDS, RUBBISH OR REFUSE UPON OR <br />IN FRONT OF CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPERTIES <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON WHICH CONSTITUTE <br />PUBLIC NUISANCE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of April 2, 1991, council adopted <br />Resolution No. 91-45 declaring as a public nuisance all <br />weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in front of certain <br />described properties within the city of Pleasanton as <br />more particularly set forth in Exhibit "A", attached <br />thereto; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution 91-45 was adopted pursuant to the <br />provisions of Government Code Sections 39501-39588; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 91-45 designated May 7, 1991, at the <br />hour of 7: 30 p.m., at the Pleasanton City Council <br />Chambers, as the time, date and place to hear and <br />consider objections to the abatement and removal of <br />weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in front of certain <br />described properties within the City of Pleasanton more <br />particularly set forth in Exhibit "A" to Resolution No. <br />91-45; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Inspector was charged with the responsibility to <br />perform the duties imposed by Government Code sections <br />39560-39588, and he did prepare notices to destroy weeds <br />and remove rubbish and refuse, and did in the time and <br />manner prescribed by law cause copies of the notice to be <br />conspicuously posted on or in front of the property where <br />the nuisance exists; the city did mail written notice of <br />the proposed abatement to all persons owning property <br />described in Resolution No. 91-45 in the time, form and <br />manner prescribed by law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city council did hold a public hearing on May 7, <br />1991, and no one appeared to raise objections; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />
