CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 91-65 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 91-1 WHEREAS, at its meeting of May 7, 1991, the City Council reviewed the report of the Director of Public Works and utilities (SR 91:167) regarding the necessity of establishing an underground utility district in the area of the proposed new Senior Center; and WHEREAS, because there are no other affected property owners within the proposed district, a public hearing is not required; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: section 1: The city Council hereby finds and determines that the public necessity, health, safety, and welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated structures, and the underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated service on Sunol Boulevard (Bernal Avenue to Junipero Street). Such described area is hereby established as Underground Utility District No. 91-1. Attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and hereby incorporated as part of this resolution, is a map delineating the boundaries of said District. Section 2: The city council hereby makes the following further findings with regard to Underground Utility District No. 91-1: 1. The undergrounding to be accomplished pursuant to this resolution will avoid or eliminate an unusually heavy concentration of overhead distribution facilities. 2. Formation of the Underground District is a logical extension of the existing underground areas and is directly related to the proposed widening of Sunol Boulevard and the proposed Senior Center. Section 3: That the following exceptions in said Underground Utility District No. 91-1 be and are hereby authorized, pursuant to Section 13.12.060 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code:
