<br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-63 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE <br />REPORT OF THE PLEASANTON ADVISORY BOARD, <br />DECLARING THE INTENTION TO LEVY AN ANNUAL <br />ASSESSMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1991-92 AND TO <br />ESTABLISH A TIME AND PLACE FOR THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has heretofore established a <br />Downtown Pleasanton Business Improvement District, the <br />purposes and boundaries of which are set forth in Chapter <br />5.28, Pleasanton Municipal Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has heretofore appointed a <br />Pleasanton Advisory Board for the Downtown Pleasanton <br />Business Improvement District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Advisory Board has prepared a report for fiscal year <br />1991-92, which report is on file with the City Clerk, <br />which report satisfies the statutory requirements of <br />Streets and Highways Code, ~36533 and which report is <br />attached to this resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Advisory Board report has proposed a modification of <br />the existing northern and western boundaries of the <br />district, from Stanley Boulevard to the Arroyo del Valle <br />in the north, and from Pleasanton Avenue to the east side <br />of Peters Avenue in the west, omitting approximately 25 <br />businesses previously included in the District. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />section 1: The report of the Advisory Board is accepted and <br />approved, including the assessment district boundary <br />modifications noted in the report. <br /> <br />section 2: The city Council intends to levy and collect assess- <br />ments within the District for fiscal year 1991-92, for <br />the proposed improvements and activities as provided in <br />Chapter 5.28 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code and as <br />provided in the attached report. <br />
