FIRST AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES: S & C ENGINEERING I EXHIBIT A This First Amendment, dated August 15,2006, amends the "Contract for Consultant Services for Engineering, and Specialty Inspections for the Valley A venue Railroad Undercrossing" entered into on the I 9th day of July, 2005, between the CITY OF PLEASANTON and S & C Engineering. RECITALS A. The parties desire to amend the Original Contract to provide for additional hours for engineering shop drawing review and construction inspection services for the Railroad bridge structure, including temporary shoring, the storm drain pump station and the storm drain box culvert for the Valley Avenue Railroad Undercrossing. NOW, THEREFORE, in exchange for mutual consideration, the receipt and value of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties agree as follows: I. The Scope of Work described in Exhibit "A" to the Original Agreement shall be amended to provide for additional hours for engineering shop drawing review and construction inspection services for the Railroad bridge structure including temporary shoring, the storm drain pump station and the storm drain box culvert for the Valley Avenue Railroad Undercrossing. The Scope of Work described in the Original Agreement shall be further amended to include additional compensation to the contract, not to exceed $ I 8,500.00, bringing the new not-to- exceed amount to $95,670.00. 2. All other terms and conditions of the Original Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. This First Amendment is entered into as oftbe date first set-forth above.
