CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 91-39 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDING TFFE. LAND USE DESIGNATION <br /> OF THE GENERAL PLAN AS FIY~D UNDER CASE <br /> GP-91-1 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Joseph Madden has applied to amend the Land Use Element <br /> designation of the General Plan from "Commercial and <br /> Offices" to "High Density Residential" on an <br /> approximately six acre site; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property is located on the north side of Stanley <br /> Boulevard approximately midway between Rachael Place and <br /> Valley Avenue on the south side of the Western Pacific <br /> Railroad right-of-way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendations for approval of the proposed General Plan <br /> Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City CQuncil determined that a Negative Declaration <br /> was appropriate for the proposed General Plan Amendment <br /> and adopted Resolution No. 91-38 approving the Negative <br /> Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on March 19, 1991 <br /> with respect to the General. Plan Amendment at which time <br /> any member of the public was afforded the opportunity to <br /> address the City Council on said amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to make changes to the Land Use <br /> Element of the General Plan at this time as one of the <br /> four times during the calendar year such changes may be <br /> made; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this proposed General Plan <br /> amendment is consistent with the goals and policies of <br /> the General Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council determines that this is one of the <br /> four times in 1991 that the Land Use Element of the <br /> General Plan may be amended as authorized by Government <br /> Code Section 65631. <br /> <br /> <br />
