PHASE I Annual EmPloyee Awards Luncheon The City to sponsor an Annual Employee Awards Luncheon be held during the work week for the entire work force. The purpose of the luncheon is to recognize employees for years of service and other appropriate areas. At the luncheon, 5-year employees would be recognized as a group, others individually. The recognition year will be the calendar year. · Years of Service Awards The City will recognize years of service a= 5-year intervals. The employee will be recognized individually through a personal letter from the office of the City Manager on the employee's anniversar~ date at their work site. Pins and/or gifts will be presented at the annual employees' awards luncheon· Implementation of the gift plan as presented by The Robbins Company: 5 years -Choice of ~ewelrv ~ualitv city pin oR gift selection from gift brochure a brass city pin with number of service years on it. 10 years - same as above with choice of 10 year gift 15 years - " " " " " 15 " " 20 years - " " " " " 20 " 25 years - " " " - - 25 " - 30+ years - " " " " " 30+ " Note: City Logo on all gifts excepE crystal items. PHASE II Gifts a~ Retirement The Committee recommends a three tier gift plan beginning wit, h S-14 years, 15-24 years and 25 plus years of service wi~/1 the City aE the time of retirement. RetiremenE is defined by the Committee to mean when PERS is activated. The Committee also recommends that a framed City Council Resolution commending retiring employees for years of service as opposed to a plaque. 5-14 years - Choice of gift from gift brochure 15-24 years - Choice of gift from" ,, 25+ years - Choice of gift from" ,, Gift Plan for 1990 Service Award Reci~ient~ The Recognition Committee is recommending that the 1990 service award recipients be included in the gift plan if implemented.
