CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 91-16 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SETTLRMR. NT OF WORKERS <br /> COMPENSATION CLAIMS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is now pending before the Worker's Compensation <br /> Appeals Board two cases involving two City employees, <br /> namely John Jones and Dominick DeLucca; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's worker's compensation claims administrator has <br /> requested authority from the City Council to settle these <br /> claims in amounts more fully discussed in the memorandum <br /> dated January 15, 1991 from the Director of Personnel to <br /> the City Attorney; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such authority is reasonable and justified under the <br /> circumstances. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PI.RASANTON RESOLVES <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The City Attorney is authorized to settle the two <br /> above-mentioned cases in amounts not to exceed that <br /> requested by the Director of Personnel. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 22, 1991 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mohr, Scribner, Tarver, and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> ATTEST: ~ <br /> <br /> Pegg~TL/. ~fidro W City Clerk <br /> <br />Michael H.
