Ci A P ; ;anton l <br /> S ORT <br /> <br /> 3anuary 22, 1991 <br /> Planning Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Review of Fertile Crescent Plan Concept <br /> <br /> Purpose: To review, revise, and approve the South <br /> Livermore Valley Plan Concept for eventual <br /> adoption by the Alameda County Supervisors as <br /> part of the new County General Plan. <br /> <br /> Location: A 15,000 acre area beginning at the eastern <br /> Pleasanton City limits and including all of <br /> the vineyard areas south of Livermore to <br /> about Greenville Road. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approve by taking the following actions: <br /> <br /> 1)Review and comment on the major features of the Plan <br /> which affect Pleasanton; and <br /> <br /> 2) Direct staff to develop proposed revisions for your <br /> approval at a later meeting and for referral to the <br /> Alameda County Board of Supervisors including the <br /> following: <br /> <br /> That the Pleasanton Gateway should be redesignated in <br /> the Plan to allow either Agricultural or Residential <br /> use and that the density range should be revised to <br /> allow 0 to 4 units per acre, subject to a General Plan <br /> Study of the Vineyard Corridor. <br /> <br /> That cultivable lands within the Gateway generally <br /> should not be allowed to develop, subject to City <br /> conducted studies of the area. <br /> <br /> That language should be added to clarify that <br /> Pleasanton is the intended jurisdiction for planning <br /> and annexing land within its Sphere of Influence and <br /> that the land should be serviced according to City <br /> design standards and levels of service. <br /> <br /> Finally, staff believes that the provision to allow <br /> substitution of cultivable land elsewhere in the Study <br /> <br />SR:91:30 <br /> <br /> -1- <br /> <br /> <br />
