CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 91-12 RESOLUTION DECLARING SUNDAY, JANUARY 27, 1991 AS A DAY OF PATRIOTISM AND RECOGNITION OF LT. a. G. MARK S. ANDERSON ONE OF PLEASANTON'S MILITARY PERSONNEL SERVING IN THE PERSIAN GULF WHEREAS, on January 16, 1991, the United States of America, incoordination with 28 other nations, commenced military action against the government of Iraq; and WHEREAS, many families in Pleasanton have loved ones who are assigned to the Persian Gulf area during this national crisis; and WHEREAS, the City Council and citizens of Pleasanton wish to express their deep appreciation for the services of these people in this difficult time and to let them know how proud we are of them; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council of the City of Pleasanton declares that Sunday, January 27, 1991, shall be set aside as a day of patriotism and recognition in honor of Lt. J. G. Mark S. Anderson, one of Pleasanton's military personnel serving in the Persian Gulf. Section 2: We sincerely appreciate his dedication, patriotism, and unswerving commitment to the United States of America. Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 22, 1991 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mohr, Scribner, Tarver, and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None ATTEST: A~~ Pegg~/~/.C~zldro,dJCity Clerk : Michael H.
