CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 91-08 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ADDING AGENDA ITEM REGARDING <br /> REQUEST OF PT~ASANTON JAYCEES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Brown Act permits the Council to add an item to the <br /> agenda upon a two-thirds vote of the Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ken Powell of the Pleasanton Jaycees requested the City <br /> Council to authorize advancing funds to display flags on <br /> Main Street for each Pleasanton service person serving in <br /> the Persian Gulf; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council finds and declares that this item arose after <br /> the posting of the agenda for this meeting; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLRASANTONRESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Based on the findings set forth above, a resolution to <br /> to advance funds to the Pleasanton Jaycees for display of <br /> flags is added to the agenda for January 22, 1991 for <br /> Council consideration and action. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 22, 1991 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mohr, Scribner, Tarver, and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br /> <br />
