Contract for the acquisition of goods or services for <br />more consideration than would be paid for equivalent <br />goods or services on the open market from any organi- <br />zation in which any person who is related by blood or <br />marriage to a manager or member of the governing <br />board of the Contractor has a substantial personal <br />financial interest. <br /> <br />Such disclosure shall be by a writing addressed to the Contractor's liaison <br />with City; should said liaison object to such employment or contracting in a <br />writing t° the Contractor within three weeks of receipt of the disclosure, <br />then Contractor either shall not permit such employment or contracting as so <br />disclosed, or shall file a letter with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors <br />protesting the liaison's decision. Contractor shall not during the term of <br />this contract, permit any.member of the governing board of the Contractor to <br />have or acquire, directly or indirectly, any personal financial interest in <br />the performance of the contract, as by providing goods or services for <br />compensation, or otherwise, without having first disclosed the same to the <br />board, and said member shall not participate in bOard discussion or action on <br />such matter. <br /> <br /> 21. Contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant <br />for employment because of race, color, national origin, sex, or ancestry or <br />religion. Contractor will take affirmative action to assure that applicants <br />are employed and employees are treated during employment without regard to <br />race, color, sex, national origin, or ancestry or religion, with the goal <br />being that the ethnic composition of the contractor's work force component for <br />the project or service will approximate the ethnic composition of the <br />population of the City of Pleasanton. Such action shall include, but not be <br />limited to, employment upgrading, demotion, or transfer; recruitment or <br />recruitment advertising; lay-off or termination; rate of pay or forms of <br />compensation; and selection for training, including apprenticeship, <br />pre-apprenticeship training, and on-the-job training. Contractor agrees to <br />post in conspicuous places, available to employees and applicants for <br />employment, notices to be provided by the awarding authority setting forth the <br />provisions of this nondiscrimination clause. <br /> <br /> 22. Contractor agrees to comply with the requirements of the Section 3 <br />Plan, attached hereto as Exhibit D. <br /> <br /> 23. This contract can be amended only by written agreement of the parties <br />hereto. <br /> <br /> 24. Contractor agrees to comply with the requirements of the <br />attached Exhibit ~ (Property Management Standards). <br /> <br /> 25. Contractor agrees to comply with the specific project <br />requirements, attached hereto as Exhibit F. <br /> <br />-6- <br /> <br /> <br />
