CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 92-26 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE REFUSE COLLECTION RESCINDING THE FEE SCHEDULES SET FORTH IN RESOLUTION NO. 91-81 ~ND ESTABLISHING REVISED FIXED AND UNIFORM REFUSE COLLECTION RATES FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton (City) and Pleasanton Garbage Service, Inc. (Contractor) have entered into an Agreement for the exclusive collection, transportation and disposal of dry garbage and refuse from the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 9.20,090 of the City of Pleasanton Municipal Code, rates for' refuse services shall be set by a resolution approved by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, the Contractor shall conduct all billing related to the collection, transportation, recycling, and disposal of said garbage and refuse in strict accordance with the rates listed in such Resolution; and WHEREAS, a recent Superior Court judgment invalidated the Measure D surcharge which was part of the refuse service rates; and WHEREAS, City Council now wishes to eliminate the Measure D surcharge from the refuse service rates; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE THAT: Section 1: The fee schedules set forth in Resolution No's. 90-198 and 91-60 are hereby rescinded. Section 2: The rates for the collection, transport and disposal of dry garbage and refuse from the City of Pleasanton effective December 26, 1991, for Commercial Services, Residential Services and for Transfer Station Services, are revised as follows: SINGLE-FAMILY MONTHLY RESIDENTIAL RATES 1. For the regularly-scheduled once each week pick-up of 90 gallon waste receptacles,provided by the Contractor which are suitable for automated dumping from single-family residential properties, the monthly rates are as follows: eONE 90 GALLON CAN PER WEEK $14.20
