ATTACHMENT 5 <br /> <br /> Park and Recreation Commission Recommendation and Goals <br /> to Provide Lighted Sport Pields <br /> November 14, 1991 <br /> <br />Short Term <br /> <br />1. Increase the scope of the improvements proposed for Pleasanton <br /> Upper Field to include lighting for the two softball fields <br /> and the multiuse field in between (shown in Attachment 4). <br /> <br />2. Continue to work with the School District to utilize school <br /> lighted fields: <br /> <br /> a) Pursue use of existing lighted fields on school campuses. <br /> <br /> b) Should the District develop any lighted fields in the <br /> future, pursue a collaborative effort that would result <br /> in community access to the lighted field(s). <br /> <br />3. Investigate lighting the existing soccer fields in Amador <br /> Community Park. <br /> <br />4. Pursue acquiring land in North Pleasanton and designing a park <br /> which would include lighted fields. <br /> <br />Lonq Term <br /> <br />1. Pursue securing community parkland in North Pleasanton and <br /> developing multiuse lighted sport fields. <br /> <br />2. Adopt a policy that all future community parks fully consider <br /> including lighted multiuse sport fields. <br /> <br />3. Pursue securing community parkland in the San Francisco <br /> property and developing multiuse lighted sport fields. <br /> <br />4. Include lighted multiuse sport fields in the community park <br /> proposed for the Staples Ranch. <br /> <br />5. Pursue collaboration with the School District in the <br /> development of any future District lighted sport fields in <br /> return for community access. <br /> <br /> <br />
