<br />Naming Opportunities and Donor Recognition

<br />INTRODUCTION:
<br />
<br />The renovation and construction of the firehouse Arts Center in Downtown Pleasanton requires
<br />community support to make possible a facility with a size and scope for visual arts, theater, and
<br />art education that is very much needed for the citizens of Pleasanton. Charitable fundraising is
<br />an integral component of this project's financial plan, as it will leverage upon capital provided by
<br />the City of Pleasanton (the City) to enable the creation of a robust and healthy art center -- in the
<br />City's cultural heart -- for all to enjoy. Such community involvement demonstrates the public's
<br />sincere commitment to the benefits of a new cultural asset for Pleasanton.
<br />
<br />Pleasanton Cultural Arts foundation (PCAf) [an independent, non-profit 50 I (c )(3 ) corporation]
<br />is pleased to be taking a leadership role in raising the private funds necessary for the realization
<br />of this project. PCAf's Firehouse Arts Center Capital Campaign (the Campaign) involves
<br />soliciting large leadership gifts, seeking foundation grants and significant donations from
<br />corporations, strengthening partnerships with local arts organizations and community groups,
<br />and (in a later stage of the Campaign) conducting high-profile events and activities to gather
<br />support from the broader Pleasanton community. Net proceeds from the Campaign will be used
<br />to fund a grant to the City to apply toward construction costs, and will also be used by PCAf to
<br />support arts-related activities that will take place at the firehouse Arts Center.

<br />Donor recognition is an integral component of the Campaign, and offering naming opportunities
<br />for elements in and around the firehouse Arts Center offers a lasting way to commemorate a
<br />donor's meaningful and tangible role in the creation of the facility. In some cases, naming
<br />opportunities can also allow a donor to make a specific creative contribution to the impression
<br />that the firehouse Arts Center conveys to its visitors, Working with the City and with the City's
<br />Civic Arts Commission (the Commission), PCAf is crafting a naming opportunities and donor
<br />recognition plan (Recognition Plan) to provide for donor acknowledgement for the Campaign
<br />and for the use of names at the City-owned firehouse Arts Center.
