The direct argument must be signed and submitted to the City <br />Clerk by June 23rd. <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />At its June 6, 2006 meeting, the Council placed on the November 7, 2006 ballot the Bernal <br />Property Phase II Land Use Plan initiative measure. The Council also determined that all five <br />Council members would sign a direct argument in favor of the initiative measure. <br /> <br />Council members Cindy McGovern and Jerry Thorne were selected to draft language for this <br />direct argument for consideration by the Council at a regular meeting. <br /> <br />The direct argument is limited to 300 words, and may not include any graphics or images. <br /> <br />SR 06:166 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
