<br />CONTRACT <br /> <br />ANNUAL TREE TRIMMING, REMOVAL, AND INVENTORY <br />2006-2007 <br /> <br />THIS CONTRACT is made and entered into this 1st day of July, 2006 by and <br />between West Coast Arborist, Inc., ("Contractor"), whose address is 2200 E. Via Burton <br />Street, Anaheim, CA 92806, and telephone number is (714)-956-3745 and the CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation ("City"). <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has awarded to the Contractor a contract for Annual Street <br />Tree Pruning and Removal. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises set forth herein, <br />the parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Work to be Performed. The work will generally consist of tree pruning, removal, <br />stump grinding and related activities as described in this specification. <br /> <br />Said work is more particularly shown in the following documents which are on <br />file with the Department of Public Works of the City and are incorporated herein <br />by this reference: <br /> <br />A. Plans and Specifications entitled the Annual Tree Trimming and <br />Removal and addenda thereto, if any. <br /> <br />B. Contract Amendments approved by the City Parks Maintenance <br />Superintendent, done in accordance with the Standard <br />Specifications. <br /> <br />C. The Proposal submitted to the City by the Contractor. <br /> <br />D. Request for Proposals. <br /> <br />E. General Provisions and Special Provisions. <br /> <br />2. Compensation. The City shall pay the Contractor for work actually performed at <br />the unit prices set out in the Contractor's proposal to the City. The quantities of <br />work stated therein are estimates only; actual quantities will be measured for <br />payment in accordance with the specifications. The annual contract amount for <br />FY 2006/07 shall not exceed $425,000. <br />
