<br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06-037 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE <br />BERNAL COMMUNITY PARK MASTER PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has prepared a draft master plan document for the Bernal Community <br />Park proposed on an approximately 50-acre site located south of Bernal <br />A venue at Pleasanton A venue (hereafter the "Master Plan"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Master Plan calls for a variety of sports fields, open space, <br />picnic areas, trails, and other recreational amenities, as set forth more <br />particularly in the attached Exhibit A; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Youth Master Plan Implementation Committee held a public meeting on <br />February 13, 2006, and provided recommendations regarding the proposed <br />Master Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Civic Arts Commission held a public meeting on March 6, 2006, and <br />provided recommendations regarding the proposed Master Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Youth Commission held a public meeting on March 8, 2006, and <br />provided recommendations regarding the proposed Master Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission held a public meeting on March 9, <br />2006, and provided recommendations regarding the proposed Master Plan; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing on April 26, 2006, <br />and found that the proposed Master Plan is consistent with the goals and <br />policies of the Pleasanton General Plan, the Bernal Property Phase I <br />Specific Plan, and the Draft Bernal Property Phase II Specific Plan, and <br />further recommended that the City Council adopt the Master Plan, subject <br />to certain conditions. <br />
