CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 99-074 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CEQA FINDINGS AND THE <br /> STATEMENT OF OVERRIDING CONSIDERATIONS FOR <br /> THE VINEYARD AVENUE CORRIDOR SPECIFIC PLAN <br /> AND PUD REZONING (AND PUD PRE-ZONING FOR <br /> MINOR ANNEXATION), AND APPROVING THE <br /> VINEYARD AVENUE CORRIDOR SPECIFIC PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton initiated the process for the Specific Plan and PUD rezoning <br /> (and pre-zoning of Lots 32 and 33 for a 7-acre minor annexation) for the 384-acre <br /> Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan Area located in the southeastern portion <br /> of the City, approximately 2 and 1/2 miles south of 1-580 and four miles east of <br /> 1-680 (collectively, "the Project"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Specific Plan documents were subsequently prepared by City staff and <br /> consultants, including an Environmental Impact Report CEIR") for this Project; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has accepted and responded to comments to the Draft EIR <br /> from public agencies having jurisdiction by law, persons having special expertise <br /> with respect to any environmental impact involved, and other person and <br /> organizations having an interest in the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Final EIR was prepared and contained the Draft EIR, comments and <br /> recommendations received on the Draft EIR, and the responses to points raised <br /> regarding environmental issues in the review and consultation process; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held several noticed public hearings regarding the <br /> Project and heard public testimony regarding the completeness and adequacy of <br /> the EIR and Specific Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held noticed public hearings on May 18, 1999 and on June 1, <br /> 1999 and reviewed the proposed Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan, <br /> determined that the EIR was complete and adequate, and considered the CEQA <br /> findings of significant environmental impacts of the Project and the statement of <br /> overriding considerations for such anticipated Project impacts. <br /> <br /> <br />
