<br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />:C4Jf..V <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06-029 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION WITH THE <br />METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR ALLOCATION OF TDA <br />FUNDS FOR THE ANNUAL SIDEWALK AND INTERSECTION RAMP <br />INST ALLA TIONS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) requires a resolution of support for <br />Transportation Development Act (IDA) applications; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 3 of the Transportation Development Act (TDA), Public Utilities Code (PUC) <br />Section 99200 et seq., authorizes the submission of claims to a regional transportation <br />planning agency for the funding of projects exclusively for the benefit and/or use of <br />pedestrians and bicyclists; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Annual Sidewalk and Intersection Ramp Installations Capital Improvement <br />Project will promote pedestrian and bicycle travel; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City's Staff Traffic Committee have reviewed various projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this project is categorically exempt under the requirements of CEQA. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section I: <br /> <br />The Pleasanton City Council authorizes submittal of the project application and <br />subsequent submittal of claims for payment. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND REGULARLY <br />ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING <br />HELD ON MAY 2, 2006 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />
