CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 06-027 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2006 WEED ABATEMENT PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE ABATEMENT OF WEEDS, RUBBISH OR REFUSE UPON OR IN FRONT OF CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON WHEREAS, at its meeting of April 04, 2006, Council adopted Resolution No. 06-020 declaring as a public nuisance all weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in front of certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton as more particularly set forth in Exhibit "A", attached thereto and attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 06-020 was adopted pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Sections 39560-39588; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 06-027 designated May 02, 2006, at the hour of 7:00 p.m., in the Pleasanton City Council Chambers, as the time, date and place to hear and consider objections to the abatement and removal of weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in front of certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton more particularly set forth in Exhibit "A" to Resolution No. 06-020 and attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, the Fire Inspector was charged with the responsibility to perform the duties imposed by Government Code Sections 39560-39588, and he did prepare notices to destroy weeds and remove rubbish and refuse; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk, in accordance with Government Code Section 39567.1, did mail written notice of the proposed abatement and removal and the public hearing to all persons owning property described in Resolution No. 06-020; and WHEREAS, the City Council did hold a public hearing on May 02, 2006 and no protests were presented; and WHEREAS, abatement of the nuisance may be performed by the City or by a contractor; and
