CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 93-112 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF WORKERS' <br /> COMPENSATION CLAIM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is now pending before the Workers' Compensation <br /> Appeals Board a case involving a City employee, namely <br /> Anthony Gonzales; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City's worker's compensation claims administrator has <br /> requested authority from the City Council to settle this <br /> claim in an amount more fully discussed in the memorandum <br /> dated August 24, 1993, from the Director of Personnel to <br /> the City Attorney; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such authority is reasonable and justified under the <br /> circumstances. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Attorney is authorized to settle the above- <br /> mentioned case in an amount not to exceed that requested <br /> by the Director of Personnel. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 7, 1993 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner, and Mayor <br /> Tarvet <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br />APPROVED AS ~~ Pegg~ ~.~E~idr~ City Clerk <br />Michael H.
