<br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06-022 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF <br />FEDERAL AND CITY FUNDS RELATIVE TO THE <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) <br />PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006 (2006/07) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are distributed to <br />metropolitan cities, urban counties, states, and consortia of local governments by <br />the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD encourages jurisdictions to plan for the use of federal funds in multi-year <br />program cycles for the purposes of planning and implementation of housing and <br />community development programs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is a HUD Entitlement City and will be submitting an annual <br />Action Plan with projects for CDBG funding for Fiscal Year 2006; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is a participating jurisdiction under the Alameda County <br />HOME Consortium and receives an annual formula allocation of federal funds <br />from the Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) to enable certain <br />housing projects and activities which benefit low income persons; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the use of City Lower Income Housing Funds to <br />supplement CDBG funds is an appropriate use under certain conditions as listed in <br />Resolution No. 94-80 adopted in July 1994; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of April 4, 2006, the City Council reviewed the report of the Deputy <br />City Manager (SR:06:095) regarding the proposed CDBG program funding <br />allocation for Fiscal Year 2006; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOL YES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section I. Council approves the overall funding program for the City's Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for Fiscal Year 2006 as depicted in Table A, <br />including a total of $287,563 in CDBG funds and $66,500 in City Housing Funds. <br />
