CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 06-021 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL FOR THE FIREHOUSE ARTS CENTER, AS FILED UNDER CASE PDR.507 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied for design review approval for the Firehouse Arts Center to be located at 4444 Railroad A venue to: (I) renovate the existing 2,450-square-foot historic Fire Station No. I; (2) construct an approximately 20,263-square-foot addition for theater, gallery display, classrooms, and support functions; and (3) demolish a portion of the existing, non-historic Fire Station No. I consisting of approximately 7,863 square feet; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial) District, Downtown Revitalization District, Core Area Overlay District; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held before the City Council on April 4, 2006, at which time all pertinent testimony and documents were received; and WHEREAS, the City Council determined that the proposed project, as conditioned, is appropriate for the site; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves Case PDR-507, the application of the City of Pleasanton for design review approval for the Firehouse Arts Center to be located at 4444 Railroad Avenue to: (I) renovate the existing 2,450-square-foot historic Fire Station No. I; (2) construct an approximately 20,263-square-foot addition for theater, gallery display, classrooms, and support functions; and (3) demolish a portion of the existing, non-historic Fire Station No. I consisting of approximately 7,863 square feet, subject to the conditions of approval shown on Exhibit B, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
