<br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06-009 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF CITIZENS' <br />OPTIONS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAM FUNDS AS <br />RECOMMENDED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 6, 2006, the Chief of Police presented a report (SR <br />06:050) describing the recommendations for use of Citizens' Option for Public <br />Safety (COPS) funds received from the State, as outlined in Section 30061 of the <br />Government Code and in accordance with AB 1584. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby approves the recommendations for expenditures of COPS <br />funds, which are as follows: <br /> <br />Approximate <br />Allocation <br />Every 15 Minutes Program $ 2,000 <br />Volunteers in Policing Services (VIPS) Program 5,000 <br />Police Mobile Radios 9,000 <br />Patrol Rifles 6,700 <br />Four Thermal Imaging Cameras 15,600 <br />Two Motorcycle Radio Boxes 3,000 <br />Stinger Spike System 10,000 <br />HP 1055 CM Plus Plotter Printer 10,000 <br />SWAT Tactical Headsets 8,500 <br />Patrol Cameras 4,500 <br />PPD Security System Upgrade 12,000 <br />Tuff Shed Shelter 6,100 <br />Less-Lethal Beanbag Shotguns 5,600 <br />Radio Mic Extensions 1,000 <br />K-9 Bite Sleeves 1,000 <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br />
