CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 06-017 RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION 03-008 TO RESTATE COUNCIL'S DIRECTION TO STAFF AND TO PROVIDE GREATER FLEXIBILITY IN DETERMINING THE HAPPY VALLEY BYPASS ROAD OPTIONS WHEREAS, the City of Pleasant on's City Council adopted Resolution 03-008 on January 21, 2003, that directed staff to study only the Bypass Road in the Happy Valley Road Specific Plan, to work with the Sportorno family to expedite the planning of the Bypass road and any development plans for the Spotorno properties, and to review an interim alternative access to the Golf Course property that would help divert traffic off Sycamore road and onto Sycamore Creek Road; and WHEREAS, the Callippe Reserve Golf Course has been completed and opened to the public and the original plans for developing the Happy Valley Bypass Road may need to change; and WHEREAS, flexibility for the location of the Bypass Road is now needed to develop options for alignment, funding and other constructions conditions; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Resolution 03-008 is hereby amended by City Council direction to staff to (a) establish the Happy Valley Bypass Road Blue Ribbon Committee comprised of area residents and property owners, including representatives from the Spotorno Ranch family, Greenbriar Communities Homes and the Sycamore Creek Way area, with support provided by Alameda County staff and City staff for the purpose of developing alignment options for the Bypass Road described in the Happy Valley Specific Plan and (b) to bring those options to the City Council for further review. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
