PPS policy states that all passengers <br />(including those in all types of mobility chairs) must be secured by a personal lap <br />seatbell. This means that passengers in wheelchairs and clectric carts must have their <br />own lap seatbelts. I f you do not own a lap belt, you can contact local medical supply <br />companies to purchase one. We appreciate your cooperation on this matter! <br /> <br />Emergency Wheelchair Transportation <br /> <br />Measure B, approved by voters in Alameda County in 1986 <br />and reauthorized in 2000, provides 24-hour service <br /> <br />Alameda County's Emergency <br />Wheelchair Transportation Program <br />currently provides transportation <br />throughout the county to people in <br />wheelchairs in the event of a <br />mechanical breakdown. The program <br />will also pick up a stranded wheelchair <br />if someone is taken to the hospital in <br /> <br />an emergency. Contact the <br />Pleasanton Senior Center at 93 I -5365 for more <br />information. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br />- <br /> <br />For assistance, please call toll-free 1-877- <br />50-WHEEL (1-877-509-4335). With all your appoint- <br />ments and errands you have to run during the <br />week, you probably do not get to pamper yourself. <br />Now is your chance! Call during the week, up to <br />two wecks in advance, to book an appointment for <br />future Saturday ridcs. <br /> <br />Take PPS to <br />Senior Center Activities <br /> <br />Looking to join a few exciting activities at thc Senior Center? Lct PPS <br />take you there! Classes include Bocce Ball, Hula, Fitness, Yoga, T'ai <br />Chi, Gentle Exercise, Opera, Book Club, Arts and Crafts, <br />Woodworking, Bridge and Bingo.
