CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 93-97 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHINg POLICY TO PRESERVE <br /> ORIGINAL BRIDGE ACROSS ARROYO DE LA LAgUNA ON <br /> BERNAL AVENUE BETWEEN FOOTHILL ROAD AND 1-680 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the original steel <br /> truss bridge over the Arroyo de la Laguna located on <br /> Bernal Avenue between Foothill Road and 1-680 has <br /> historical significance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with any future development in the area, <br /> it is the desire of Council that all efforts be made to <br /> preserve the original steel truss bridge; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City's General Plan is currently under review and now <br /> is an appropriate time to give direction to the General <br /> Plan Review Steering Committee; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Establishes a policy to preserve the original steel <br /> truss bridge over the Arroyo de la Laguna, located on <br /> Bernal Avenue between Foothill Road and 1-680. <br /> <br />Section 2: The General Plan Review Steering Committee is requested <br /> to recommend changes to the General Plan to indicate that <br /> this bridge is of historical significance. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON JULY 20, 1993 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner, and Mayor <br /> Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br />  <br />~jC Pegg~/jLU~zidr~~', City Clerk <br />Michael H.
