Covered Proiects: All eCovered f}frojects shall meet thc following <br />rcquircmcnts: a-minimum LEED+M "Certified" rating, except as modified by the <br />provisions of Seetion 17 .50.0'IO(b) <br />(1) All Commcrcial Projects shall meet a minimum LEED™ "Certilied" <br />rating. except as modilied bv the provisions of Section 17.50.040(b). <br />(2) All Citv-Sponsored Proiects that are not Residential Proiects nor <br />neithcr Residcntial Proiects nor Mixcd-Use Projccts shall achicvc a minimum LEED™ <br />"Ccrtified" rating. exccpt as modilicd by the provisions of Seclion 17.S0.040(b), and arc <br />cncouragcd to mcct thc "Silver" rating. <br />(3) All Singlc-Family Rcsidcntial Projccts. including any such Citv- <br />Soonsorcd Projcct, shall achicvc a "Green Homc" rating on the Singlc-Familv Grccn <br />Building Rating Svslem. which currentlv rcquires Iiftv ooints. <br />(4) All Multi-Family Residential Proiccts, including anv such City- <br />Sponsorcd Proicct. shall achievc a "Green Home" or similarly cnlitled minimum <br />compliancc rating on thc Multi-Family Grccn Building Rating Systcm. which currcntly <br />rcquircs fifty ooints. unless the Grecn Building Compliancc Oflicial detcrmincs that the <br />Single-Family Grccn Building Rating Systcm is morc appropriate for the Building. such <br />as for a duplcx that is not part of a larger proiect. <br />(5) All Mixcd-Usc Projccts. including anv such Citv-Soonsorcd Proicct. <br />shall mcct thc rcquirements for a Multi-ramily Residential Projcct, unless lhc Grccn <br />Building Official dctermincs thai another rating systcm is more aooropriatc.~ <br />b. Actions Not Requircd: <br />(I) LEED™ Registration and Certification: Applicants are encouraged <br />to register Commercial Proiccts and other applicablc eCovercd pfrojects with the U.S. <br />Green Building Council.
