Exhibit A Construction Management Services for Santos Ranch Road Water Pump Station and Water Facilities Project 1 - PROJECT UNDERSTANDING AND APPROACH Tetra Tech, Inc. is pleased to submit this proposal to the City of Pleasanton (City) to provide Construction Management Services for the Santos Ranch Road Pump Station and Water Facilities Project. We are prepared to assign a highly experienced Construction Management Team with the technical expertise specific to this assignment. As this presentation demonstrates, our team possesses the necessary resources to quickly respond to the City's needs throughout the construction of the water system improvements. PROJECT UNDERSTANDING It is the desire of the City to engage the services of a qualified consulting firm to provide comprehensive construction management services during the demolition and reconstruction of three water booster pumping stations along Santos Ranch Road. Construction activities will, in part, include: • Demolition and reconstruction of three pump station buildings. • Replacement of existing piping, valving, pumps, pump cans, electrical and mechanical equipment. • Construction of a new 25,000 gallon water tank. • Site grading and storm drainage system construction. • Conversion of electrical services to Delta service.' As Design Engineer for the Santos Ranch Road Pump Station and Water Facilities Project, Tetra Tech is intimately familiar with the design elements and construction requirements essential for the successful, timely completion of this project. Thus, if selected as your construction management consultant, we are prepared to "hit the ground running" and effectively begin construction activities without delay! City of Pleasanton - Project No, 991035 Exhibit A APPROACH Tetra Tech's approach to construction management for your project is to provide the City with an integrated project approach that combines all construction management activities under the direction and supervision of the construction manager. Bijan Daneshmand, our assigned Construction Manager, will be charged with overseeing and coordinating all office administration and field inspection activity. By providing all construction management and administration services under the direction of a single Construction Manager, we can provide a seamless, well- organized project with a single point of control. He will conduct regularly scheduled project meetings, maintain project documentation files, and coordinate the activities of our field inspector. Mr. Daneshmand will be able to quickly and accurately update City staff on project status and issues at any time during the project. With an emphasis on communication, anticipation of problems and problem solving (see Figure 1 -1), the Tetra Tech Construction Management Team will be a positive extension of the City's staff. WORK PLAN Key to successfully completing your project is the following approach: • Developing and following a detailed Construction Management Procedures Manual. • Communicating directly with the City's project team on a daily basis. • Responding to contractor requests and submittals expeditiously. • Working with all parties to keep your project moving and to exceed your schedule.
