With the assistance
of District and City staff, he has reviewed the current status of housing development,
student generation rates from new and existing housing and actual student enrollment
data. This data has enabled him to determine in detail the location of our current
student population by type of housing in specific areas of the city to refine his projection
of students from future new housing, as well as the potential effect of turnover of
existing housing on future enrollments.

The demographer's report is an integral element for District planning. Budget
development, particularly staffing needs and revenue generation, potential growth
needs based on future housing and resulting developer fees are significantly influenced
by these projections.
