CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 93-68 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION PERMITTING CITY OF PLEASANTON TO <br /> TRANSFER PROCESSING OF PARKING CITATIONS FROM <br /> CODI~T SYSTEM TO CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, recent legislation, AB 408, decriminalizing parking <br /> citations and transferring their processing from the <br /> court system to the City, will become effective on <br /> July 1, 1993; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City must offer a review and hearing process for any <br /> person who contests his/her ticket; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City must amend its Master Fee Schedule to <br /> incorporate the parking penalties and late payment <br /> penalties; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City must appoint a hearing examiner to hear <br /> administrative hearings concerning contested parking <br /> citations. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OFT HE CITY OF PLEASANTONRESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby approves the following actions: <br /> <br /> 1. Approves the attached Administrative Adjudication <br /> Procedure for Parking and Standing Violation <br /> Citations; <br /> <br /> 2. Appoints Gary Galliano as the hearing examiner for <br /> the City of Pleasanton for a term of one year, <br /> commencing on July 1, 1993, with a monthly stipend <br /> of $50.00; <br /> <br /> 3. Authorizes the City Manager to appoint two <br /> alternates for the position of hearing examiner; <br /> and <br /> <br /> 4. Amends Resolution No. 92-100, the Master Fee <br /> Schedule, as per the attached exhibit, to <br /> incorporate parking penalties and late payment <br /> penalty. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
