IX. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEES, AND CQUNCIL APPQINTMENT$ TO <br /> REGIONAL BOARDS AND JOINT POWERS AUTHORITIES <br /> <br /> A. Internal City Council Committees <br /> <br /> The Mayor shall appoint Council members to serve on various City Council <br /> subcommittees, if any, and to act as liaisons to City commissions, as necessary. <br /> <br /> B. Regional B0ar~ and Joint Powers Authorities <br /> <br /> In conformsrice with California Government Code section 40605, the Mayor, with <br /> approval of the City Council, shall make all appointments to boards, <br /> commissions, and committees. <br /> <br /> 1. Review 0f ASSignments <br /> <br /> At the first ~'iji~i: meeting in each December, or as vacancies occur, <br /> the City Manager will present for Council's review a summary of the <br /> City's designated representatives to various outside organizations, <br /> including county, area, district or state boards, committees or <br /> commissions. <br /> <br /> This summary of appointments is published 'as an addendure to these <br /> policies, and shall be made available to the public by the City Clerk. The <br /> summary includes a description of each board, its purpose, membership, <br /> bylaws, and description of Council member duties. <br /> <br /> 2. Selection of Council Representatives <br /> Nc, rc,.ina~e,n~ ~i~ shall be made by the Mayor.
