CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 93-62 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING FISCAL YEAR 1993-94 <br /> APPROPRIATION LIMIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article XIIIB of the State of California Constitution <br /> (Proposition 4 on the November 6, 1979, ballot) requires <br /> that each year the governing body of each local agency <br /> establish its appropriation limit for the following year; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Proposition 111, passed by the voters in June of 1990, <br /> expands the choices for making annual adjustments to the <br /> appropriation limit based on various growth factors; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Assessor's Office has provided the <br /> City with updated growth factors for assessed values due <br /> to nonresidential construction for 1992-93 which increase <br /> the appropriations limit for that year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the growth factors of <br /> (1) the percentage change in the city population, and <br /> (2) the percentage change in the local assessment roll <br /> from the preceding year due to the addition of local <br /> nonresidential construction will yield the highest net <br /> increase in the 1993-94 appropriation limit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, selecting these growth factors will result in a new limit <br /> for 1993-94 of $83,675,015. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The appropriations limit for 1992-93 is amended from <br /> $62,635,213 to $75,274,393. <br /> <br /> Section 2: The Proposition Ill growth factors selected for 1993-94 <br /> are (1) the percentage change in the City population and <br /> (2) the percentage change in the local assessment roll <br /> from the preceding year due to the addition of local <br /> nonresidential construction. <br /> <br /> Section 3: The appropriation limit for fiscal year 1993-94 is <br /> $83,675,015. <br /> <br /> <br />
