CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-42 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVINGTHEAPPLICATION FOR FUNDS <br />FOR T~R TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT ACTIVITIES <br />PROGRAM UNDER ~ INTE~MODAL SURFACE <br />TRANSPORTATION EFFICIENCY ACT OF 1991 FOR T~R. <br />FO?WOWING PROJECT: SURFACING THECANALACCESS <br />ROADS SUITAB?.R FOR BICYU.R AND PEDESTRIAN <br />TRAIL USAGE, PROVIDE SIGNING AND BRIDGE <br />C~OSSINGS AT ARROYO MOCHOANDPLEASANTONCANAL <br />SO THAT A CONTINUOUS BIKEWAY WOULD EXIST FROM <br />T~R IRON HORSE TRAIL INTO ~ ALAMEDA COUNTY <br />F~TRGROUNDS AT ARROYO DRY. V~TW.R AND V~TJ.RY <br />AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the United states Congress has enacted the Intermodal <br />Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991, which is <br />intended to provide over $200 million in federal dollars <br />over a six year period as matching funds to local, state <br />and federal agencies and nonprofit entities for <br />transportation enhancement activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Department of Transportation has established the <br />procedures and criteria for reviewing proposals and is <br />required to submit to the California Transportation <br />Commission a list of recommended projects from which the <br />recipients will be selected; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said procedures and criteria established by the <br />California Department of Transportation resolution <br />certifying the approval of application by the applicants <br />governing body before submission of said application to <br />the California Transportation Commission and the State of <br />California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the proposed trail is a joint project between the cities <br />of Pleasanton, Dublin, and Zone 7 and Caltrans connecting <br />all Tri-Valley cities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the application contains assurances that the applicant <br />must comply with; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the applicant, if selected, will enter into an agreement <br />with the State of California to carry out the <br />transportation enhancement activities project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
