CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 93-23 RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE PT~ASANTON WOMEN'S CLUB FOR MAINTENANCEAND IMPROVEMENTS MADE TO THE CITY-OWNED FACILITY AT 4133 REGALIA WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton owns a facility called the Regalia House located at 4133 Regalia; and WHEREAS, since 1956 the Pleasanton Women's Club has occupied and utilized this facility; and WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Women's Club has utilized the facility to schedule events such as driver's training classes, dog training classes, and bridge lessons, which events have generated revenue that the Women's Club has used to support events or purchase items which have been beneficial to the community at large; and WHEREAS, the Women's Club has, when necessary, upgraded the facility including, most recently, the installation of'a new floor to assure that the interior of the facilityhas remained in good condition during the Women's Club use of the facility; and WHEREAS, the Women's Club has agreed to return the building improvements, and the additional furniture which has been purchased by the Women's Club for the facility, to the City at no cost to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council commends the Pleasanton Women's Club for its many years of community service. Section 2: In recognition of the Women's Club's many years of service and the fact that the Women's Club has made substantial upgrades to the facility, including the installation of a new floor and the purchase of building furniture, the City agrees to allow the Women's Club to have access to the facility to conduct its regular monthly meetings and to conduct its special annual events, at no cost to the Pleasanton Women's Club. Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
