Resolution No. 99-021 <br />Page Two <br /> <br /> Hopyard Road resurfacing, Coronado to Valley Avenue $804,000; Santa Rita <br /> Road Resurfacing, Old Santa Rita Road to Stoneridge Drive $569,000, and First <br /> Street Bridge $305,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, MTC requires, as part of the application a resolution stating the following: <br /> <br /> 1. The commitment of necessary local matching funds of at least 11.5%; and <br /> <br /> 2. That the sponsor understands that the Surface Transportation Program and <br /> Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program funding is <br /> fixed at the programmed amount, and therefore any cost increase cannot be <br /> expected to be funded with Surface Transportation Program or Congestion <br /> Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program funds; and <br /> <br /> 3. The assurance of the sponsor to complete the project is described in the <br /> application, and if approved, as programmed in MTC's TIP. <br /> <br /> 4. That the sponsor understands that funds must be obligated by September 30, <br /> 2000, or the project may be removed from the program. <br /> <br />NOW, ;THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes the City Manager or her designee to file an application for federal <br /> Surface Transportation Program and Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality <br /> Improvement Program funding for three projects; Hopyard Road resurfacing, <br /> Coronado to Valley Avenue $804,000; Santa Rita Road Resurfacing, Old Santa <br /> Rita Road to Stoneridge Drive $569,000, and First Street Bridge $305,000. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City of Pleasanton will provide $218,000, 11.5% in local matching funds. <br /> <br />Section 3: The City of Pleasanton understands that the Surface Transportation Program and <br /> Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program funding for the <br /> projects is fixed at $804,000, $569,000 and $305,000, and that any cost increases <br /> must be funded by the City of Pleasanton from local matching funds, and that the <br /> City of Pleasanton does not expect any cost increases to be funded with Surface <br /> Transportation Program or the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality <br /> Improvement Program funds. <br /> <br /> II <br /> <br /> <br />
