CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-017 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR THE APPLICATION OF RED BEAR, INC., AS FILED <br />UNDER CASE SPA-98-03/Z-98-296 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of March 2, 1999, the City Council received a proposed negative <br />declaration for the application of Red Bear, Inc., for (1) a Downtown Specific Plan <br />Amendment to permit the construction of a three-story building where two stories <br />is the limit, and (2) design review approval to construct a 39-room hotel at 807 <br />Main Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council received and reviewed the Initial Study dated October 9, 1998, <br /> and received the'recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public heating was held at which time the public was given the <br /> opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the <br />applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed project would not have any significant <br /> adverse effects on the environment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that the proposed project will have no potential for <br /> adverse impacts on the site's wildlife. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Approves the Negative Declaration for the application of Red Bear, Inc., for (1) a <br />Downtown Specific Plan Amendment to permit the construction of a three-story <br />building where two stories is the limit, and (2) design review approval to construct <br />a 39-room hotel at 807 Main Street. <br /> <br /> <br />
