call outs occuring within any two hour period. <br /> <br /> Employees may be compensated for overtime worked either by monetary <br /> payment or by compensatory time off, at the option of theemployee. <br /> Compensatory time shall accrue at the rate of one and one-half <br /> (1-1/2) times the overtime hours worked. Compensatory time off <br /> which accrues in excess of fifty (50) hours must be liquidated by <br /> monetary payment. All monetary payments for overtime must be paid <br /> not later than the next biweekly payroll following the pay period <br /> in which the overtime was worked. Utilization of compensatory time <br /> off shall be by mutual agreement between the Department Head and <br /> the employee. Upon termination, the employee shall be paid for <br /> his/her unused compensatory time. Overtime shall not be assigned <br /> on the basis of employee's choice of monetary payment or <br /> compensatory time off. <br /> <br /> Once per year, employees may be paid for all accrued compensatory <br /> time. Said payments shall be made on the first pay day in <br /> December. Written requests for payment must be made by the <br /> employee fifteen (15) days in advance of the first pay day in <br /> December. <br /> <br />Section S. Standbv Time <br /> <br /> Standbytime is that amount of specific and predetermined time that <br /> an employee is required to be on call in addition to the normal <br /> work day and shall be compensated at a rate of pay equal to twenty <br /> (20) hours of pay for each seven (7) day period spent on standby. <br /> The hours of daily standby duty for water division employees and <br /> sanitary sewer division employees shall be 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. <br /> The requirement that employees in the classification of water <br /> system operators and sanitary system operators work standby shall <br /> be set forth in the job descriptions of such classifications. <br /> <br />Section 9. Police Clerk Traininq Pay <br /> <br /> Police Clerks assigned responsibility to train new police clerks as <br /> part of a formalized departmental training program shall be paid <br /> the sum of eighty-five dollars ($85.00) for each complete and <br /> continuous four week period spent training. For periods spent <br /> training of less than or more than four continuous weeks, said <br /> eight-five dollars ($85.00) payment shall be prorated on a daily <br /> basis (to the nearest whole work day). <br /> <br />Section 10~ Holidays <br /> <br />10.1 Observed Holidays <br /> Effective March 1, 1988 the holidays to be observed are as follows: <br /> <br /> a.
