Said payment shall equal the annual <br /> equivalent of two percent of their monthly salary on the date the <br /> payment is made as set forth in the attached salary schedule. Said <br /> payment shall be subject to retirement contributions and payroll <br /> tues. The salary ranges set forth in Appendix A shall not be <br /> changed as a result of this payment. <br /> <br /> Regular part time employees represented by the Association shall <br /> receive a pro rated one time payment under the same conditions <br /> applicable to full time employees. <br /> <br /> Effective at the start of the first full pay period in September <br /> 1995 the salary ranges of all classifications represented by the <br /> Association as set forth in Appendix A shall be increased two <br /> percent (2%). <br /> <br />6,2 Entrance Salary <br /> <br /> The entrance salary for a new employee entering the City service <br /> shall be the minimum salary for the class to which he/she is <br /> appointed. The Appointing Authority may, however, authorize <br /> original appointment or reinstatement at a rate higher than the <br /> minimumrate when thequalifications of the candidate including but <br /> not limited to education, experience and training and/or needs of <br /> the service warrant. <br /> <br />6.3 Conversion of Pay Rates <br /> <br /> Any monthly rate of pay may be converted into any equivalent rate <br /> of pay or to any other time basis when, in the judgment of the City <br /> Manager, such a conversion is advisable. <br /> <br />6.4 Salary Adjustments <br /> <br /> Full time regular and probationary employees serving in a regularly <br /> established position and part-time regular employees serving in <br /> classifications represented bythe PCEAshall be advanced from the <br /> "A" step to the "B" step in their respective classifications after <br /> completion of twelve (12) months' full time satisfactory service, <br /> in each of the salary steps for the classification until the top of <br /> the range is reached. No salary advance shall be made so as to <br /> exceed any maximum rate established in the pay plan for the class <br /> to which the advanced employee's position is allocated. <br /> Advancements shall not be automatic but shall depend upon increased <br /> service value of an employee to the City as determined by his/her <br /> department head.
