CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAIVIEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 94-24 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING ADOPT-A-PARK PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission has recommended an Adopt-A-Park <br /> Program which encourages interested citizens to adopt landscape areas or parks <br /> and receive appropriate recognition; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the responsibility of those participating will be to complete tasks at regular <br /> intervals that will help keep the landscape area or park neat and attractive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the responsibility of the City will be to provide and dispose of fitter bags, provide <br /> plants or other material for small improvement projects that have been approved <br /> by the City, and to place signs indicating that the area has been "adopted"; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council hereby approves the Adopt-A-Park Program and encourages citizens, <br /> either as individuals or as groups, to participate in this worthwhile project. <br /> <br />SeCtiOn 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br /> REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br /> A MEETING HELD ON MARCH 1, 1994 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Molar, Pico, Scribner, and Vice Mayor Dennis <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Tarvet <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> ATYF_,ST: <br /> <br /> peggyY~. ~zicfro, Cf/y Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br /> Michael H.
