CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. NO. 95-130 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br /> FUNDS FOR THE TRANSPORTATION <br /> ENHANCEMENT ACTIVITIES PROGRAM UNDER <br /> ~ INTERMODAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION <br /> EFFICIENCY ACT OF 1991 FOR THE FOLLOWING <br /> PROJECT: CONSTRUCTION OF BIKEWAY/ <br /> PEDESTRIAN TRAIL SUITABLE FOR BICYCLE AND <br /> PEDESTRIAN TRAIL USAGE, PROVIDE SIGNING <br /> AND ACCESS CONTROLS ON THE ZONE 7, <br /> ARROYO MOCHO RIGHT-OF-WAY, BETWEEN <br /> ALAMO CANAL AND SANTA RITA ROAD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States Congress has enacted the Intermodal Surface <br /> Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991, which is intended to provide over <br /> $200 million in federal dollars over a six year period as matching funds to <br /> local state and federal agencies and nonprofit entities for transportation <br /> enhancement activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation has established the procedures and <br /> criteria for reviewing proposals and is required to submit to the California <br /> Transportation Commission a list of recommended projects from which the <br /> recipients will be selected; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said procedures and criteria established by the California DeparUnent of <br /> Transportation requires a resolution certifying the approval of an <br /> application by the applicant's governing body before submission of said <br /> application to the California Transportation Commission and the State of <br /> Califomia; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed trail is a joint project between Pleasanton and Zone 7; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the application contains assurances that the applicant must comply with; <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant, if selected, will enter into an agreement with the State of <br /> California to carry out the transportation enhancement activities project. <br /> <br /> <br />
