<br /> The Board of Administration, Public Employees' Retirement System, hezt,~et6 referred to as Board,
<br /> and the governing body of above public agenc3r, herelnnfter referred to as Public Agency, having enlzted
<br /> into a contract effective Se~nber 1, 1953, and witnessed May 18, I953, and as amended effe:tive April
<br /> 1, 1962, October 21, 1972, Sel~-,'~rnher ?-8, 1973, January, 5, 1980, January 3, 1981, April 11, I981,
<br /> Sc~tember 20, 1986, Febhazy 18. 1987, June 13, 1987, September 5, 1987, February 26, 1993 and May
<br /> 7, 1993, which provides for participation of Public A8ency in said System, Board and Public Agency
<br /> hereby agree as fortows:
<br />
<br /> A. Paragtlphs 1 through 12 are hereby su-icken from said contract as executed effective May 7,
<br /> 1993, and hereby replaced by the following irmagraphs r-rrnheted 1 through 12 inclusive;
<br />
<br /> 1. All words and terms used herein which are cleftned in the Public Employes' Rsireme~
<br /> Law shall have the m,,-=rling as defined thereh unless otherwise specifically provided.
<br /> "Normal retirenero age' shall mean age 60 for local miscellaneous members and age 50
<br /> for local safety. menbets.
<br />
<br /> 2. Public ,A. gS7 shall participate in the Public Employees' Retireznent System from azsd
<br /> after Septemb6 1, 1953 making its employes as hereaf'zr provided, members of said
<br /> System subject w all provisions d the Public Fanplays' Retirement I~w except such
<br /> as apply only cm election of a contracting agency and are not provided for heroin and to
<br /> all amendmems to said l~w hereafter enacted except those, which by express provisions
<br /> thereof, apply only on the election of a connaing agency.
<br />
<br /> 3. Employees of Public Agency in the following classes shall become members of said
<br /> Retirement System except such in each such class as ate excluded by law or this
<br />
<br /> a. Local Fire Fighters (lseteh rderred to as local safety members);
<br />
<br /> b. Local Police Officers (herein referred to as local safety, members);
<br />
<br /> c. Etnployees other than local safety rr,e,mhers (herein referred to as local
<br /> mis~ceilangous meznbers).
<br />
<br /> 4. In addition to the classes of employees excluded from mcmbet~hi? by said Retirenzrtt
<br /> Law, the following classes of employees shall not become members of said Retirement
<br /> System:
<br /> NO ADDITIONAL EXCLUSIONS
<br />
<br /> 5. The percentage of final compensation to be provided for ~c-!~ year of credited prior and
<br /> current service as a local mi-~zllaneous member shall be determined in accordance with
<br /> Section 21251.13 of said Retirement Law C2% at age 60 pull).
