CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 95-99 RESOLUTION APPROVING A MEMORANDUNI OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION (IAFF) LOCAL 1974, FIXING SALARIES AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR ENUMERATED CLASSES OF EMPLOYEES, AUTHORIZING A ONE-TIME PAYMENT OF $650.00 TO EACH ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEE REPRF~ENTED BY IAFF LOCAL 1974, AND AMENDING THE 1995-96 AND 1996-97 BUDGET WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton, acting through the City Manager as employer representative of the City Council, and representatives of the IAFF Local 1974 have met and conferred pursuant to the provisions of Section 3500, et seq., of the Government Code in regard to wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment for members of the IAFF Local 1974; and WHEREAS, as a result of the above meeting and conferring process a proposed Memorandum of Understanding dated August 14, 1995 between the City of Pleasanton and the IAFF Local 1974 was presented to the City Council at the special meeting of August 22, 1995; and WHEREAS, the City Council, pursuant to Resolution No. 95-12, authorized a one-time payment of $650.00 to all police and miscellaneous employees, including confidential and management employees, in recognition of the cooperative efforts made by such employees to contain costs to help balance the City's budget; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to grant the same $650.00 one-time payment to employees represented by the IAFF; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves and authorizes the City Manager to execute the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Pleasanton and IAFF Local 1974 dated August 14, 1995 for a term commencing September 1, 1993 through August 31, 1997.
